Spears & Munsil Replacement Filter
Blue filters are not included with the Spears & Munsil UHD HDR Benchmark disc because they don’t work with modern displays. You should use blue filter mode on the TV, and if your TV doesn’t have a blue filter mode you should verify the color saturation by viewing the reference montage on the disc. Read the user guide for instructions regarding modern HDR displays.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
What's the point of this filter if it doesn't work?
Spears & Munsil UHD HDR does not include a blue filter because they are entirely ineffective with HDR displays.
This means that no matter how many layers of filter you stack, other primaries besides blue still pass through, and this is because the primaries for HDR are different than they were for SDR.
So, why do we offer them? Some people don't believe us and still want to see for themselves. That's the real reason.
(There are also people who lost the filter for the HD version of Spears and Munsil. If they are using the filters with an older SDR display, the filters may still provide some benefit).
