The Ideal-Lume™ Pro2 v2 DIT Lamp by MediaLight was developed to provide reference-grade illumination in situations where space is at a premium, such as DIT carts, control surfaces, and compact grading environments. It is based on the same optical design as the Ideal-Lume Pro2 v2 Desk Lamp, but with a USB-powered, base-free form factor optimized for portability and efficient use of workspace.

By using the Pro2 emitter, the DIT Lamp maintains the same spectral power distribution (SPD) as other Pro2 products, ensuring uniformity when used in a Pro2-based workflow. If your environment is built on Mk2 bias lights, we recommend selecting the Mk2 DIT lamp instead to maintain SPD consistency. Both Pro2 and Mk2 products conform to CIE D65 standards, but mixing them in the same environment may introduce perceptible differences when compared side-by-side.

Designed for Space Efficiency and Reliability

The removal of the weighted base and a modest reduction in head and gooseneck dimensions allow the Pro2 v2 DIT Lamp to deliver reference-grade D65 illumination in areas where larger fixtures are impractical.

Touch-sensitive controls integrated into the aluminum blinder hood provide flicker-free dimming, with persistent memory that retains the last brightness setting even after master power is switched off.

Flexible USB Power

The Pro2 v2 DIT Lamp operates from any standard 5V USB 2.0 or 3.0 port, including hubs, desktop grommets, portable power banks, power strips, or USB AC adapters. Its custom USB connector incorporates a rigid flange and shallow plug depth to minimize mechanical stress on the host device.

Advisory: While the connector reduces strain and enhances stability, we recommend powering the lamp from a hub, power bank, or adapter rather than directly from a high-value monitor or laptop port.
