A Note on Tariffs and U.S. Pricing

If you're in the United States, you may have noticed our prices have gone up.

That’s not a pricing tactic or some behind-the-scenes cash grab — it’s the direct result of a 63% tariff now applied to our products sold domestically.

Outside the U.S., even when ordering from our website, prices haven’t changed. That’s because international shipments are eligible for duty drawback — a refund of those tariffs. Within the U.S., there’s no such mechanism, and we won’t compromise our standards just to absorb the hit.

Earlier this year, when tariffs briefly spiked to 178%, we didn’t raise prices. We sold through existing inventory and paused imports of products we could no longer sell profitably. Stock ran out worldwide. At the time, it genuinely felt like there was no way forward.

So yes, today’s situation is better — but only in comparison.

Now, we’re making structural changes — rethinking how we manufacture, ship, and fulfill orders to serve our customers worldwide. Whether you're in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, South America, or the Middle East, our commitment remains the same: precision, transparency, and lasting quality.

And that’s important to say out loud right now.

We’re all living through an era of enshittification — where once-respected products and platforms quietly get worse over time, and shrinkflation — where you pay the same or more for less. That’s not acceptable to us. We’re not going to remove features, cut corners, or sell out the people who trust us just to hit a price point.

But it does mean that sometimes, prices go up — especially when costs rise dramatically, as they have under tariffs.

We serve people across many industries, beliefs, and regions. Our values — accuracy, integrity, and science — don’t belong to any party or platform. We believe in treating people with respect, even when we disagree. That doesn’t mean staying silent in the face of dishonesty or division. It means staying grounded in the work of building tools people can trust.

If our pricing reflects anything, it’s the economic realities we’re navigating — not a political position. And if you’ve supported us through these changes, we can’t thank you enough.

We hope to be in this for the long haul. And we’re doing everything we can to make sure that what you get from us tomorrow is just as reliable — or better — than what you got yesterday.
