The Ideal-Lume™ Pro2 v2 Desk Lamp by MediaLight combines the proven Ideal-Lume v2 Desk Lamp platform with the Pro2 emitter. It offers the same physical design and controls as the Mk2 version, but with a Pro2 chip that produces a spectral power distribution (SPD) with higher similarity to the CIE D65 reference.

If your environment already uses Pro2 bias lights, this lamp ensures uniform SPD across all light sources. If your setup is based on Mk2 products, we recommend staying with the Mk2 desk lamp to maintain a consistent SPD. Both Pro2 and Mk2 conform to CIE D65 standards, but mixing them can introduce subtle SPD differences that may be visible in side-by-side use.

Redesigned for Consistency and Longevity

Although packaged in a box 40% smaller by volume, the lamp itself retains its original size. Internally, it has been redesigned for improved thermal performance and durability. An integrated aluminum blinder hood prevents stray reflections and enhances heat dissipation, supporting stable output in extended operation.

The Pro2 v2 provides 146 nonlinear brightness steps, with dedicated 100% and off positions. Persistent memory recalls the last setting even when master power is switched off, ensuring seamless operation in reference environments.
