For years, we shipped international orders DAP (Delivered at Place), which meant you paid a lower price at checkout but were responsible for duties and taxes upon delivery. This was clearly disclosed at checkout, on our shipping page, and on every invoice.

The most common feedback we received from international customers was that the surprise charges on delivery were frustrating, even when they'd been disclosed in advance. So we changed it. As of May 1, 2026, all prices include applicable taxes and duties. What you see at checkout is what you pay. Nothing more upon delivery.

The prices look higher.

They're not. The taxes and duties that your government charges on imports are now included in the displayed price instead of being collected separately at your door. The total cost to you is the same or, in many cases, lower, because we now absorb carrier processing fees that were previously passed on to you.

Here's a simple example: if a product previously cost €40 at checkout and you paid €12 in duties plus a €10 carrier fee on delivery, your total was €62. If that same product now shows as €52 at checkout with nothing due on delivery, you're paying less. The sticker price is higher. The actual cost is not.

Why not keep the old prices and include tax on top?

Because the tax is a significant cost. Previously, your carrier collected it from you at the door. Now, we collect it at checkout and remit it on your behalf. The money goes to the same place: your government. It has to be reflected in the price somewhere.

I ordered before May 1 and wasn't charged tax at checkout. Now I'm being charged on delivery.

Orders placed before May 1, 2026 shipped under the previous policy, where taxes and duties were not included at checkout. The terms at the time of purchase apply. We can't retroactively apply the new pricing to orders placed under the old policy.

I ordered after May 1 and I'm being charged on delivery. That shouldn't happen.

You're right. If your order was placed on or after May 1, 2026, all taxes and duties were included in your checkout total. You should not owe anything on delivery. Please contact us so we can investigate.

We made this change because the majority of our international customers asked for it. We understand that change takes some getting used to, but the net result is simpler, more predictable pricing with no surprises at your door.
